S Tier

Decks in S Tier are the strongest decks in the field. Garruk claims the number one spot this season thanks to his overtuned passive and strong removal. His ability to dish out stats at no cost to tempo makes him the premier midrange deck. Nissa continues her undisputed dominance as her critical mass of ramp cards and powerful endgame.

A Tier

A Tier are solid picks that can contest the mythic ladder. Nahiri continues to be a very consistent performer, putting up strong results with both the Barbarian build and more traditional aggresive builds that skip out on class cards. Davriel dropped a spot from earlier tier lists thanks to a mid-season nerf to his hyper aggro build. The remaining decks in A tier remain viable counterpicks in a Garruk metagame.

B Tier

B Tier decks are strong enough perform well in mythic, but lack the consistency or power to climb to the highest rungs of the ladder. Liliana Reanimator boasts a strong matchup against Garruk but may struggle against decks packing transform effects for her finishers or those fast enough to go under her. Rakdos (Black Red) aggro decks continue to be the best performing non-Nahiri aggro strategies. Closing out the B Tier are the non-Nissa ramp decks which don’t cope as well with Garruk’s gameplan - Kiora which is stronger against slower decks and Domri which is stronger against aggro.

C Tier

C Tier decks are held back by the state of the metagame. They can be solid counterpicks if the daily meta shifts to a specific strategy. These midrange decks struggled to contend for the top spots last season due to the strength of Garruk and Nissa.

D Tier

Unfortunately these spellslingers remain absent from the metagame. Only balance adjustments will help make this slingers competitive.
